Noodle the Welsh Collie

A photoshoot with Noodle the Welsh Collie, my focus was to capture both the energetic and playful nature of Noodle as well as the moments of curiosity and exploration.

I met Noodle and her owner, Katy at the entrance to Carver’s Rocks in Hartshorne (now part of the National Trust/Severn Trent Water). It’s a place that has a variety of photoshoot locations within it from woodland paths, hill top views to the waters edge with a small beach which has sadly pretty much disappeared now but was great back when this photoshoot took place.

During the session I do a mix of action shots, portraits and candid moments to tell a comprehensive story of the photoshoot. I get down low to be at eye level with my subject - which is always best when photographing dogs. It give a much better perspective on things and yes I do get muddy, wet and sometimes cold. I have also been known to sit on thistles/nettles (as I didn’t see them) and I don’t recommend this at all!! Hehe. I always carry low fat natural treats in my pocket and I love to get the owners involved (where possible).

So here’s a little snippet of Noddle’s first photoshoot with TMS Photography. If you’re thinking of booking in your dog for a photoshoot, then please do get in touch.
